Coming New Moon ~ Knowing What You Want

Namaste'!

The weather men are calling for SUNNY skies and 57 tomorrow, 75 Friday, 78 Saturday, 78 Sunday, and 73 Monday!!!

After all the cold rain we've been getting, I think this weekend will be the weekend that everything explodes into bright green growth. I absolutely ADORE this time of year. It's so clean and fresh and new and perfect. I'm going to be starting my landscaping this weekend. I can't wait to sit outside in the sunshine with dirt on my hands.

I know many of you write new moon checks and the new moon is coming up this Saturday.

Planting in the waxing moon has been shown to be very beneficial to plants, so I'm also looking extra forward to the new moon Saturday.

I've decided to develop a habit of working with a vision board at the new moon. The last 2 times I've poured some focus and creativity into a vision board, I got amazing results. I think I'll carve out some time, maybe Saturday and Sunday morning while I have my coffee, to think about and focus on what I'd like to manifest in the month to come. For me personally, focusing on intentions and goals in the morning works great. My brain isn't all cluttered up with daily activities. It's freshly rested and relaxed and wide open.

That's what it's all about, right? Knowing what you want and being able to actually identify it. We often find it much easier to identify what we don't want. Of course you know what you don't want to happen. It's the first thing we're taught and conditioned to think about.

We even gave it a name. Murphy's Law. If something can go wrong, it will.

Then we're taught to further over think it by planning AROUND what could possibly go wrong, and call it being prepared.

Do yourself a favor. The next time you catch yourself identifying what you don't want to happen, use your brain as the tool it was intended to be and allow the thought about what you don't want, to trigger you to identify it's counter... A.K.A. What you DO want to happen.

Just practicing this will help you reprogram your automatic thoughts. You know the thoughts I'm talking about too.
Eg. *This isn't going to work* *What if I can't do it?* *If that happens, I don't know what I'm going to do*

Even thoughts as normal and everyday as "Ugh, I hate doing laundry!"

This is one that I still slip on. I have to change that thought into what I WANT... cuz what I want sure ain't doing laundry! LOL I started to change this one by changing it to "I love crisp, clean, unwrinkled clothes!". That helped me to be SEEKING something instead of avoiding something. I will even go so far as to say "Today I am blessing my closet with an abundance of delightfully clean clothes!" I "Bless" my home as a whole and in it's parts and pieces often. This angle of thought is something I picked up from http://www.flylady.com/ (been hearing a lot about her lately too, oddly enough ;) By placing your focus happily on your task at hand, you are transferring positive, loving energy onto it. And in doing so, you're "Blessing" everything. It kinda shifts your perception a little and that little can be enough to start you on a roll.

There's always a way to express what you DO want. Your initial "Oh NO!" reaction is just your brain letting you know what you don't want. It's supposed to let you know. It's only doing it's job. You're the awareness behind the thought. You're the one running this show! If you take the brain's warning shots and then turn your focus to what you DO want and forget about what "might" happen, you'll begin to notice much more desirable outcomes. The Universe (A.K.A. God) can only give you what you ask for.

Take advantage of the new moon coming and set the tone for your month to come by thinking about and identifying what you want to see for yourself and in your life. Write a new moon check or work on a vision board or write a list or create new affirmations or whatever YOUR process is. And if you don't follow a practice... then this is the PERFECT time to start! Don't procrastinate! Take control of what shows up in your life by creating a monthly practice of identifying what you want and asking for it. We're in the growing light of spring and entering the growing light of the new moon... the energies around you are very conductive for creativity and growth.

Happy Winter Solstice!

Yesterday was the Winter Solstice.
The first day of winter.
The shortest day of the year.
The new beginning.

The Winter Solstice is like, the new moon for the whole year. It's a great time to set goals and create affirmations, mantras, vision boards or any other creative tool you find useful. If you are familiar with how to work with the Moon's energies, then you already know what I'm talking about.
If this is new to you, I'll explain.

When setting intentions, it's easiest to manifest working with the moon's light. At the New Moon (the day there's NO moon), write a new moon check or set your intentions another way. Work on vision boards or any other creative tools. Focus on your intentions as the moon waxes, or the light of the moon builds. This cycle peaks at the full moon.

Now the moon wanes. The light begins at the full moon and slowly recedes over the next 2 weeks. This isn't a good time for setting or working on intentions. Spend this time cleaning you house and your mind. Write in a gratitude journal and spend time being thankful for what you manifested during the previous 2 weeks and beyond. The end of this cycle is when the moon returns to new and all the light is gone. Then, we begin again.

The Winter Solstice is another natural cycle that works in the same way. The winter solstice marks the day of the year with the least amount of sun light. It's like the new moon of the YEAR. This is a wonderful day to plan and begin your creation. If you miss the exact day, don't worry. The winter solstice energies are present for up to 72 hours beyond the specific day.

This cycle will peak around June 20-23 on the first day of summer, which is the day when the light illuminates the day the longest. This is reminiscent of the full moon. From here, the day gets slowly shorter and the night gets progressively longer. The year wanes until the dark dominates again and we begin again.

I recommend you set your intentions according to the scale you're setting them on. When you set a new moon intention, set an intention you expect to see results on over the next 28-30 days. When you set a winter solstice intention, set an intention you expect to see results on over the next year. This is actually most likely where new year resolutions originated.

The strongest periods of creative energy is during the waxing moon from the winter solstice to the summer solstice because both light building cycles are working WITH you. The equinox in the spring and fall are the points where you should review you intentions and renew your focus upon them.

I don't claim to be an expert on this subject because, believe me, I'm not. I DO know, however, that people of all different religions, creeds, nationalities and belief systems have worked with the moon and solstices for millenia. Because of this fact, I decided to try it for myself. I was skeptical going in, but I noticed a marked difference in my manifestations when I consciously worked with the earths natural cycles. I now observe daily cycles, the monthly moon cycles, the seasonal cycles and the yearly cycles.

There is waxing and waning light and energy all through your life. Why not harness the energy and make it work for you!

Manifesting Technique: Impact the World

When you:

  • visualize your goals
  • think about your goals
  • ponder your goals
  • work on your vision board
  • perform any kind of manifestation meditation or ritual

A GREAT way to amp up your vibe (because we all know ya gotta FEEL it!) is to ponder the impact your desire will have on the world.

For instance:
Let's say I've set an intention to manifest one million dollars. This seems to be where people are blocked the most, so it seems like a good place to begin.

Now, if I suddenly had one million unexpected dollars to share with the world.... wait... Share with the world? But, yes.... that's exactly what I'd be doing. Everything I did with my spontaneously manifested one million dollars would be me sharing my monetary energy with the world.

Now I've suddenly gone from a WANTING vibe to a GIVING vibe. That's a good trade because, as Jesus put it, "For to everyone who has, more shall be given, and he will have an abundance; but from the one who does not have, even what he does have shall be taken away." Matthew 25:29

Wanting is a "does not have" vibe.... Giving is an "already have it" vibe. Because, of course, you can't give away that which you do not have. So trading from wanting to giving will put you closer to where you need to be to get what you want.

Ok, back to that spontaneously manifested one million dollars :)

How will I impact the world. Who in the world will be better off because of MY desire to manifest this million dollars?

Let's see... I would:

  • pay off my home.
  • buy a new car.
  • take a tropical vacation.
  • start my own business.
  • put money away for my children's education.

That's a good start. Now, who, besides myself and my immediate family, would stand to benefit from my "selfish" little desire?

Pay Off My Home:
The mortgage company whom I owe for my home.
The employees, employee families, stock holders and investors.

Buy a New Car:
The owner of the dealership.
The salesman who earns his commission.
The people who will be receiving money from the above after my purchase.

Take a Tropical Vacation:
The local stores, employees and economy when I go SHOPPING for my vacation.
Taxi drivers, waitresses, bell boys.
The tropical local economy.

Start My Own Business:
The suppliers of whatever I need for my venture.
The local economy.
Everyone in my community.

Put Money Away for My Children's Education:
I don't need to think beyond the affect this would have just on my own children :)

And this list mostly only covers those who would benefit in about a 200 mile radius. The energy would in total, transfer from person to person and eventually have some kind of an effect on every person on the entire planet.

It's like the "Six Degrees of Separation" theory. Wikipedia defines this as "Six degrees of separation refers to the idea that, if a person is one step away from each person they know and two steps away from each person who is known by one of the people they know, then everyone is an average of six "steps" away from each person on Earth."

So, can you see how the money I''m manifesting could touch every person on the planet in some way? The more you desire to have, the more you circulate energy back out into the world and have a positive impact on other people's lives.

You can make a list mentally or on paper, but make a list of what you want, then who would benefit from it. Focus on how it feels to think about helping other people and sharing what you have, knowing that all of it and more are already on the way to replace what you'll be giving away!

Enjoy your impact on the world.

My Vision Board - July 08 Update

Hello My Friends!

I am SO excited today! Well, it's actually excitement that's carried over from yesterday. You may recall that I made a vision board and posted it here on my blog to share with you all back on July 6th (one month and 3 days from yesterday).

Here's my vision board again to refresh your memory.

That LOVELY picture, in the bottom left corner.... The white Dodge Caravan.... I GOT IT YESTERDAY!!!!

The one in the picture is a 2008. I wanted one a little older.

I requested:

2000 to 2003, white, Dodge Grand Caravan, with the 2 sliding doors, no running boards, no luggage rack, tinted windows, 3 rows of seats, 4 captains chairs, cup holders out the wazoo, CD AND cassette players in a good sounding system, power everything (seats, windows, locks, etc..), great running, very well cared for, like new, and getting a MINIMUM of 25 MPG.

**$4000 or less**

That is EXACTLY what I got. To the letter! My new van is a 2000, everything listed above, getting 28 MPG! and we paid.... drumroll please..... $3000 ... AND, that's not $3000 plus sales tax, title fees, notary, etc.... That's $3000, tax, title, out the door price. I literally counted out $3000 in 50 and 100 dollar bills onto the desktop and was handed a receipt!

It runs fantastic! The only issue was a tierod end. Being married to a mechanic (BIG graditude here!) helpped there. We stopped at an auto parts store on the way home and bought a new tierod end for $15. We also grabbed 5 quarts of oil, an oil filter and an air freshener. Owning cars I've learned that maintanence is key! Hubby took less than half an hour to change the tierod end and oil, and check all the tire pressures (tire's pressure? LOL).

And let me say..... I WAS NOT HUNTING FOR A NEW VAN! I knew I wanted one. About once a week, we'd cruise through a car dealer or 2. We never talked to the dealers or anything. Just kind of drive through and see what's there, knowing that when the time is perfect and the van is perfect, it'll be there.

We dropped our sons off at my Mother's house yesterday afternoon around 3pm because they were going to spend the night. On our way home, we were going to drop off a bunch of recycleables, so we came through town instead of by way of the interstate. On the way through town, we drive by this one car dealer. We've purchased 2 vehicles from him in the last 10 years. He's a good honest guy. Hubby pulled in just to see if anything looked good. It's a very small place and you have to walk through. Not enough room for the truck. So, he got out and walked around the corner to see if any of the maybe 15 cars in the lot were what we wanted.

After a couple minutes, he pops his head around the corner from the inside of the building's garage and motions for me to "come here". I got out of the truck and walked into the garage and there, up on the lift is "The Van"! It was BEAUTIFUL! Was freshly washed and still dripping. Stuck inside the window is a sticker that says, $3995. I walked up to it as Hubby said to the man, "I'm not happy with that price. What's your bottom price, tax, title, out the door? I'll pay cash today." The guy said $3000!! Hubby said, "$3000 total price?" The guy said, "Total price." And Hubby said, "I'll be back in 30 minutes with the money..... Come on Honey" and we walked out the door!

I was stunned! It literally happened THAT fast. I no sooner layed eyes on it and I found out it was MINE! I was in total shock the whole way home. Just stunned into silence. Once we got home, I'd snapped out of it some LOL. I got on Kelley Blue Book's website and looked up this van. We found out dealer price was close to $6000. It even pulled over $4000 as a trade in! We got the money and went back to the dealer. Once we were there, it had been backed out of the garage and we took it for a test drive.

My Hubby, being a mechanic, is pretty picky about vehicles. He drove it down the road and jerked the wheel around and really gave it some hell. Then he pulled over in a parking lot down the road and did a walk around, popped the hood, climed underneith... the whole deal. It had the one bad tierod. That's it. We took it back, paid and drove it home.

Here she is:

I still can't quite believe it's mine! Thank you Big U for sending me this van! I really really love it!
Well, that's my latest vision board/manifestation story. Hope it inspires you to consciously create in your own life.
May You Manifest Your Dreams,
El Baugher

Have Trouble Visualizing?

Salutations!

I have made a habit, in the past few months, of meditating myself to sleep at night. I also make time to meditate at least once during the day.

I've struggled a bit in the past with my meditations. I'd say that's mostly why I've never done it regularly untill recently. I always thought I was missing the point of visualization during meditation. I would visualize whatever I'd intended to but I could never get the picture as clear in my mind's eye as I thought it should be. I was convinced I was doing it wrong. When I found the ebook, "Creative Visualization", my confidence was boosted. The ebook had step by step, everything I needed to do to properly visualize. This ebook is available for FREE on my website. I would definately recommend this ebook to anyone who has questions or concerns about their visualizations.

Now, I've made a vision board. There's only a few things on it because I wanted to start small. I felt that having a BILLION pictures to look at would complicate LOA for me and just send me chasing my own tail. If you read my most recent posts, you'll see that I've been having great success with my vision board. I look at it first thing in the morning when I open my laptop. Then again everytime I reopen my laptop (being it's set as my desktop). I think about it and picture it in my mind's eye when I run in the morning and the happy thoughts and the exercise combined sends me into what I like to call "My Light Bubble" for the morning.

The Problem....?

WELL.... I manage to visualize what I want, but here's the thing..... When I visualize a picture in my head... the picture tends to fade and be replaced by thoughts. Then my brain runs off at the proverbial mouth and I've lost my visual AND my meditation.

My newest solution.....!

I was trying to visualize in bed last night and I was stuggling a bit. Then I thought of my vision board. What if I picked one thing off my VB and concentrated on only that one thing? So I did. It worked SO well, I was amazed. When I picked out the pics for my VB, they held a specific meaning to me. I didn't have to think about where I wanted to be or a sequence of events or anything that would lead my pesky ol' brain to try to take over. When I conjured up that one specific image from my VB, it already held all the thoughts and feelings and ideas within it. So, I layed there, totally relaxed with my eyes closed and pictured that one little picture and in no time at all I could feel the energy in me building and tingling and my brain never had a single word to say about it.

If any of you out there in cyber world are struggling with your meditation or visualizations, I hope this post has helped you. I implore you to DL the Creative Visualization ebook. It really was a super book. Get going on those Vision Boards! I'm positive you won't regret it!!

Many Many Blessings!!

My Vision Board - July 08 Update

Ok, I took a look at my vision board while writing my last post and was AMAZED at what I saw. It's actually funny that it didn't click until I looked at it. I'll tell you what the pictures represent to me as I see evidence of them manifesting. Here goes...

  • The peace sign is for increasing my inner peace.

  • The woman with the measuring tape is for increased health and stamina.

  • The bowl of veggies is to produce many veggies in my garden.

  • The laptop with dollar signs is to increase my household income, from home, online.

The increased inner peace showed up today. Check out my "Knee Jerk Reaction vs Inner Peace" post.

The increased health and stamina showed up YESTERDAY! I jog a mile every morning. Well, I try to. It's hit and miss. Every day for a week, then not at all for 2 weeks. I've gained about 6 pounds since the kids got out of school for the summer. Monday morning, I jogged my mile... but when I was done, I felt like I just had more to give... so I ran another quarter mile!! Then this morning, I weighed myself and am down 2 pounds!! AWSOME!

Many veggies happened today. We have really thick clay in our yard. We've added compost and manure and even SAND to our garden the last 2 years. My plants have been growing... mostly. My tomato plants aren't growing at all. My zucchini is growing and flowering, but no fruit yet. Same with the pumpkins. My green beans are scrawny and not producing much. The snap peas are growing, but no pods. It's rained here so much, I couldn't go weed. If you walk out there when it's damp, you sink right in. So it was all weedy. I go out and look at everything everyday at least once. Today was beautiful, and after meditating at the playground, I was in the mood for some gardening. I went out and found green beans that were almost as big as the 6" tall plant they hung from. IT BLEW ME AWAY! I have pea pods all over the place. Still no zuchs or pumpkins but I'm VERY positive they'll be showing up shortly!! The tomato plants still looked pathetic. I worked until a thunderstorm was rolling in. I came in and washed my hands in the kitchen and there on the window sill was an 8" tall tomato plant sticking out of a glass of water!! Last week I pulled out some little tomato plants that were trying to grow double next to another plant. I didn't want to just throw them in the compost, so I stuck them in a glass of water to deal with at a later date. I forgot all about them. THEY GREW sitting in the kitchen window in water. BETTER, in fact, than the others outside! So I'm going to get my tomatoes after all. I potted 5 tomato plants and put them on the porch.

The increased income has happened today and yesterday. Traffic to all my websites has increased along with ad clicks and donations! Now, I'm not saying OMG and now I'm rich!! But, increase is increase! More is coming. *There is always more than enough!* I think this is my new mantra.

I am so grateful for the many blessings surrounding me and I hope you are too!

Many countless blessings to you,
El Baugher :)

My Vision Board - July 08

Hey Everyone!

I hope your weekend was fantastic! Mine was. I thought about a vision board for a couple of days. I even cut a 3 foot piece of brown paper off the roll I have and set it aside with the intention of "getting to it". This morning, while I was drinking my coffee and watching some Abraham-Hicks videos on YouTube it occurred to me.... I want to make a vision board for my desktop! I'm on and off my laptop all day. What could be a better place than on my desktop where I can look at it periodically all day every day?

So, here goes. As promised, below is a picture of my current vision board. I think I'll sit down and revise it at the beginning of every month. I'm also going to use my brown paper to make a material vision board for my gym. Can't think about the things your intending too much now can ya!!

Have a happy Monday! May you receive everything you're attracting!

Peace & Love,

El Baugher :)

LOA & Vision Boards

Hello Friends!

Today I've been thinking about the Law of Attraction. This topic has been on the edge of my mind for over a week now.

I've decided that a "vision board" is a must have and I'm going to work on one of my own tomorrow. I couldn't decide what I should do next, so I asked Spirit for some guidance and before I knew what hit me, all I saw and heard about was vision boards.

For any of you who aren't familiar with what a vision board is, a vision board is an area where you can glue/tape/write/draw/etc.. words and pictures pertaining to the things you want to manifest. If you want a new car, you don't have to paste a picture of a car on your vision board. You can affix in any way you wish, anything that makes YOU think about your new car. The point is.... you put pictures and words and whatever else you want on this "vision board" and in doing this, you're releasing it into the hands of Spirit to manifest in perfect time for your greatest good. It's like a "Law of Attraction Wall" so to speak.

Now, materials needed.... no problem! Anyone, and I mean ANYONE has what they need to do this. I promise! Essentially, if you have 1 piece of paper and a pen or pencil, you on your way to a vision board.

For mine, here's what I'm going to do. I have a roll of brown paper. Thick stuff, like brown paper bag. I'm going to roll out a 3 or 4 foot section and cut it off. Then, because I don't have any magazines, I'm going to use my boys' crayons and draw pictures, and use post-it note to write on. It's not much, but it's a start.
I've seen vision boards made of:

  • Printer paper taped together to make one 3x3 ft page.
  • Cork boards
  • Dry-erase Boards
  • Mirrors
  • Cabinet Sides
  • Refrigerator Doors
  • Just a small section of bare wall.

Really, the possibilities are endless. I'm going to hang mine in my gym in my basement. That way I can look at it and think about what's on it while I'm working out and already feeling good.

Make sure that wherever you put yours, it stays mobile. You'll want to be able to take it down and add to it or change what you already have if your intentions change. I'll post a picture of mine tomorrow after I get it together.
