Day Spa Monday

This came up in a Law of Attraction group I am part of and I wanted to write about it a little.

I believe the #1 best thing you can do for yourself and the people around you is to love yourself. A lot of people hate themselves. A lot of people think that they're pretty ok. I want you to feel like no one on the planet is more important than YOU!

"But isn't that a little self centered?" I can hear you ask. And yeah, it pretty much is.

Now, I'm not saying... go out and do rotten things to other people because there's no one on the planet more important than you. I think that if you've found this blog and you're reading this post, then you likely already know that's not what I mean. But there's an ancient wisdom that says; You cannot give away that which you do not have and you can't have that which you do not give away.

So, I have created "Day Spa Monday". This is something I do for myself because I can. Because I should. Because I deserve it. Because I love ME. It also helps me to cultivate stillness and peace in myself. It fills me with a loving, peaceful, happy energy that I am able to give away to others, because the energy I gain during Day Spa Monday is lovingly transferred to my family and pets. How could me feeling happy and peaceful and relaxed and spiritually uplifted in any possible way be a BAD thing for anyone?

Day Spa Monday starts like any other day. Get the kids up and fed and off to school. Get the man up and fed and off to work. Charlie Dog and I go for a 2 mile walk and when we get back, I whip out the juicer and make some fresh carrot/celery/apple/ spinach juice! YUM! Then instead of starting chores or running off somewhere, I go run a hot bath. I wash my face and put on a mint mud facial and soak.

I meditate while I soak. I'm usually in there for a good 45 minutes before the water cools enough to take my attention. I wash up and get out. Then I go to my room and slather some thick, conditioning lotion all over myself.

After that, I used to go find the couch with some lunch and watch a movie, but I've recently decided that juice fasting is going to be part of Day Spa Monday for me. So right now, as I type this, I'm having some more fresh juice and I'm about to go watch a film about learning Reiki.

So that's Day Spa Monday..... My self love and attention. I deserve it and everyone benefits.

What do YOU do for self love and attention? How do you get back to yourself and shake off the excess energies of the world that you don't need?

Happy Winter Solstice!

Yesterday was the Winter Solstice.
The first day of winter.
The shortest day of the year.
The new beginning.

The Winter Solstice is like, the new moon for the whole year. It's a great time to set goals and create affirmations, mantras, vision boards or any other creative tool you find useful. If you are familiar with how to work with the Moon's energies, then you already know what I'm talking about.
If this is new to you, I'll explain.

When setting intentions, it's easiest to manifest working with the moon's light. At the New Moon (the day there's NO moon), write a new moon check or set your intentions another way. Work on vision boards or any other creative tools. Focus on your intentions as the moon waxes, or the light of the moon builds. This cycle peaks at the full moon.

Now the moon wanes. The light begins at the full moon and slowly recedes over the next 2 weeks. This isn't a good time for setting or working on intentions. Spend this time cleaning you house and your mind. Write in a gratitude journal and spend time being thankful for what you manifested during the previous 2 weeks and beyond. The end of this cycle is when the moon returns to new and all the light is gone. Then, we begin again.

The Winter Solstice is another natural cycle that works in the same way. The winter solstice marks the day of the year with the least amount of sun light. It's like the new moon of the YEAR. This is a wonderful day to plan and begin your creation. If you miss the exact day, don't worry. The winter solstice energies are present for up to 72 hours beyond the specific day.

This cycle will peak around June 20-23 on the first day of summer, which is the day when the light illuminates the day the longest. This is reminiscent of the full moon. From here, the day gets slowly shorter and the night gets progressively longer. The year wanes until the dark dominates again and we begin again.

I recommend you set your intentions according to the scale you're setting them on. When you set a new moon intention, set an intention you expect to see results on over the next 28-30 days. When you set a winter solstice intention, set an intention you expect to see results on over the next year. This is actually most likely where new year resolutions originated.

The strongest periods of creative energy is during the waxing moon from the winter solstice to the summer solstice because both light building cycles are working WITH you. The equinox in the spring and fall are the points where you should review you intentions and renew your focus upon them.

I don't claim to be an expert on this subject because, believe me, I'm not. I DO know, however, that people of all different religions, creeds, nationalities and belief systems have worked with the moon and solstices for millenia. Because of this fact, I decided to try it for myself. I was skeptical going in, but I noticed a marked difference in my manifestations when I consciously worked with the earths natural cycles. I now observe daily cycles, the monthly moon cycles, the seasonal cycles and the yearly cycles.

There is waxing and waning light and energy all through your life. Why not harness the energy and make it work for you!

Manifesting Technique: Impact the World

When you:

  • visualize your goals
  • think about your goals
  • ponder your goals
  • work on your vision board
  • perform any kind of manifestation meditation or ritual

A GREAT way to amp up your vibe (because we all know ya gotta FEEL it!) is to ponder the impact your desire will have on the world.

For instance:
Let's say I've set an intention to manifest one million dollars. This seems to be where people are blocked the most, so it seems like a good place to begin.

Now, if I suddenly had one million unexpected dollars to share with the world.... wait... Share with the world? But, yes.... that's exactly what I'd be doing. Everything I did with my spontaneously manifested one million dollars would be me sharing my monetary energy with the world.

Now I've suddenly gone from a WANTING vibe to a GIVING vibe. That's a good trade because, as Jesus put it, "For to everyone who has, more shall be given, and he will have an abundance; but from the one who does not have, even what he does have shall be taken away." Matthew 25:29

Wanting is a "does not have" vibe.... Giving is an "already have it" vibe. Because, of course, you can't give away that which you do not have. So trading from wanting to giving will put you closer to where you need to be to get what you want.

Ok, back to that spontaneously manifested one million dollars :)

How will I impact the world. Who in the world will be better off because of MY desire to manifest this million dollars?

Let's see... I would:

  • pay off my home.
  • buy a new car.
  • take a tropical vacation.
  • start my own business.
  • put money away for my children's education.

That's a good start. Now, who, besides myself and my immediate family, would stand to benefit from my "selfish" little desire?

Pay Off My Home:
The mortgage company whom I owe for my home.
The employees, employee families, stock holders and investors.

Buy a New Car:
The owner of the dealership.
The salesman who earns his commission.
The people who will be receiving money from the above after my purchase.

Take a Tropical Vacation:
The local stores, employees and economy when I go SHOPPING for my vacation.
Taxi drivers, waitresses, bell boys.
The tropical local economy.

Start My Own Business:
The suppliers of whatever I need for my venture.
The local economy.
Everyone in my community.

Put Money Away for My Children's Education:
I don't need to think beyond the affect this would have just on my own children :)

And this list mostly only covers those who would benefit in about a 200 mile radius. The energy would in total, transfer from person to person and eventually have some kind of an effect on every person on the entire planet.

It's like the "Six Degrees of Separation" theory. Wikipedia defines this as "Six degrees of separation refers to the idea that, if a person is one step away from each person they know and two steps away from each person who is known by one of the people they know, then everyone is an average of six "steps" away from each person on Earth."

So, can you see how the money I''m manifesting could touch every person on the planet in some way? The more you desire to have, the more you circulate energy back out into the world and have a positive impact on other people's lives.

You can make a list mentally or on paper, but make a list of what you want, then who would benefit from it. Focus on how it feels to think about helping other people and sharing what you have, knowing that all of it and more are already on the way to replace what you'll be giving away!

Enjoy your impact on the world.

My Reality is Shifting

Ever since I had that really profound "Ah-Ha" moment (see the archives) things have really been rolling for me. I can feel these amazing perception shifts happening inside of me. Most things are things I've always known, but now they're just resonating deeper within me.

The concept of all people being One. Me and my brothers and sisters. Branches on the tree of life. Separate in our paths, but eternally connected at our base. This has been exploding within me. I've known this all my life on an instictual level. Anyone who's known me will tell you I was always a kind and sweet child (of course I was a pain, but I'm talking about my nature LOL) and I always wanted to help. I've always had that "Good Semaritan" in me. I will always shine brightest in the service of others because I know that to spread love and kindness to my fellow human being is to bring that love unto myself.

The thing is.... it's been hitting me... DEEPER, if you will. I mean, I'll sit and contemplate it because I can't seem to focus my mind anywhere else. I feel so connected to life. The reality of the Universe and Life and Love and the astounding perfection of it all is frankly, overwhelming to me. As I sit and contemplate my love for nature and my life and the wonderful people in my life and my indivisible connection to it all, it nearly reduces me to tears of pure, unadulterated Joy.

I've been really enjoying my feelings of love and acceptance and connectedness, but here's the thing..... My reality is shifting before my eyes. In a noticable way! Yesterday, everybody I encountered while I was out running errands was enthusiastically friendly. In the past, I've kind of avoided eye contact with people. Not to be unfriendly or anything.... but I find that when people talk to me, esspecially strangers, I don't know what to say on the spot and have more than once walked away thinking, "My GOD they must think I'm an idiot!" LOL.

Well yesterday, as I left the house... I had this amazingly light feeling. I felt connected to everyone and everything around me. I felt happy and boyant and inspired and with head held high and a ridiculous smile on my face, I ventured out into the world. I'm telling you straight... every single person I encountered.... on the street, in the library, at the grocery store, on the sidewalks, in parking lots... EVERYONE.... was smiling and happy and friendly.

I stopped at my Hubby's work to pick up his check on the way to the bank. The boss' wife gave me the check. She's not "unfriendly" by any means, but we don't talk much to eachother, other than... "Is he here?"...."Yeah, he's over there". Well I took the check to my van and was endorsing it to take it to the bank and she came out to my van and tapped on the window. When I rolled down the window she started saying that she'd heard I'd gotten a new van and it's really nice and it must have been a good deal and that's really cool for us etc.... with this warm and friendly smile on her face. We chatted for a minute or two and said goodbye, and as she walked away, she turned back to me and with so much warmth, smiled and said "Hey... You have a great day!" I was just stunned as I drove away. I was so connected to the moment, I was able to smoothly reply, "I intend to. And you do the same!" but as I drove away, all I could do was smile this big goofy smile and say my thanks to the Universe for the great start to me day.

The whole rest of my excursion was exactly like that. I haven't encountered many people today as I've only left the house once to run and pick up pizza for dinner, but I encountered the same friendly, welcoming smiles as yesterday. I've been very much in love with everything around me lately and now it seems that everything around me is in love with ME!

Catch a Smile and Spread the Joy,
El

How to Meditate - Energy Movement Method

I meditate 3 times each day. I'm not on a schedule or anything and it didn't start this way. When I started to meditate, I did it once a night. I read Eckhart Tolle's book, A New Earth, and in it, he describes going into the "Now" by feeling the energy in your hands.

Up until this point, I always felt very frustrated when I'd try to meditate because I could never "turn my mind off" like I'd heard I was supposed to. But when I tried his method, it really worked for me.

Here's what I do:

  • Take a couple deep breaths and relax.
  • Close your eyes and without moving, with only your body awareness, find your hands.
  • Feel your hands. Each finger, finger tip, palm, nail, skin.... the energy... the tingle...
  • Once you feel the tingle... just breathe into it. Feel it grow stronger... almost vibrate.
  • Now move the energy. Energy follows attention, so move your attention (body awareness) up your arm a little. Maybe to your elbow. Feel it swirl around and move back to your hands. Move it back and forth a few times feeling the tingle grow each time.

Enjoy the warm tingling sensation in your body. What you feel is your energy. The energy that pulses through you, that animates you... that makes you "alive". The energy that controls your vibration, health, manifestations.... everything. I have personally healed myself of severe burns by building energy around it. You can read about it HERE if you'd like. Once I adjusted to building the energy in my body, which didn't take long; maybe 5-6 days, I expanded my meditation to this:

  • After completing the above steps, you now have tingling hands and arms.
  • Now, holding the tingle.... move your awareness to your feet. Repeat the above steps, only do it for your lower body.
  • Keep going back to your hands and arms and try to keep the energy humming in them also.
  • After you've adjusted to having your feet humming too, try bringing the tingle together in your torso so you're moving energy through your whole body.

This is the meditation method I started with. I would take a nice hot shower and relax before bed. I'd climb under the covers and lie on my back with my arms and hands down at my sides and go into my hands and start my meditation. From the first night I did it, I noticed a difference in the quality of my sleep. I also noticed a jump in remembered dream activity, and I started having lucid dreams within the first week. I found myself "going into my hands" in my dreams and that was enough to wake me IN my dream.

If this works for you, I'd LOVE to hear about your experience!

Have Trouble Visualizing?

Salutations!

I have made a habit, in the past few months, of meditating myself to sleep at night. I also make time to meditate at least once during the day.

I've struggled a bit in the past with my meditations. I'd say that's mostly why I've never done it regularly untill recently. I always thought I was missing the point of visualization during meditation. I would visualize whatever I'd intended to but I could never get the picture as clear in my mind's eye as I thought it should be. I was convinced I was doing it wrong. When I found the ebook, "Creative Visualization", my confidence was boosted. The ebook had step by step, everything I needed to do to properly visualize. This ebook is available for FREE on my website. I would definately recommend this ebook to anyone who has questions or concerns about their visualizations.

Now, I've made a vision board. There's only a few things on it because I wanted to start small. I felt that having a BILLION pictures to look at would complicate LOA for me and just send me chasing my own tail. If you read my most recent posts, you'll see that I've been having great success with my vision board. I look at it first thing in the morning when I open my laptop. Then again everytime I reopen my laptop (being it's set as my desktop). I think about it and picture it in my mind's eye when I run in the morning and the happy thoughts and the exercise combined sends me into what I like to call "My Light Bubble" for the morning.

The Problem....?

WELL.... I manage to visualize what I want, but here's the thing..... When I visualize a picture in my head... the picture tends to fade and be replaced by thoughts. Then my brain runs off at the proverbial mouth and I've lost my visual AND my meditation.

My newest solution.....!

I was trying to visualize in bed last night and I was stuggling a bit. Then I thought of my vision board. What if I picked one thing off my VB and concentrated on only that one thing? So I did. It worked SO well, I was amazed. When I picked out the pics for my VB, they held a specific meaning to me. I didn't have to think about where I wanted to be or a sequence of events or anything that would lead my pesky ol' brain to try to take over. When I conjured up that one specific image from my VB, it already held all the thoughts and feelings and ideas within it. So, I layed there, totally relaxed with my eyes closed and pictured that one little picture and in no time at all I could feel the energy in me building and tingling and my brain never had a single word to say about it.

If any of you out there in cyber world are struggling with your meditation or visualizations, I hope this post has helped you. I implore you to DL the Creative Visualization ebook. It really was a super book. Get going on those Vision Boards! I'm positive you won't regret it!!

Many Many Blessings!!
